With the Honda team of 2008 having become Brawn GP last year, the Champion squad has since been purchased by Mercedes, which returns to Grand Prix racing as a team in its own right for the first time since 1955.

"Well I think, for me, it's several things," Brawn said at Mercedes' Stuttgart museum. "One is a wonderful future for our team - a year ago didn't know they had a future.

"Working with Michael again is a very special treat which I didn't think would happen again - it's so motivating for me and the team. Nico, he's a very exciting prospect - Nico's been in racing for a number of years but I think he'll enjoy working with Michael, to see how a 7-time Champion operates.

"It's Mercedes' first year since 1955 and I've been very privileged in my career to be involved in many very special things."
